User Agent Switcher : Browse sites without registering/logging

The Firefox Addon named User Agent Switcher can switch the user agent of a browser into search engine crawlers or bots. All the websites and forums allow the search engine crawlers/bots to crawl the sites without any requirement for registration or logging to the site. The User Agent Switcher addon has the option for switching the user agents to search engine crawlers, so using it any site can be accessed on the net which allows search engines to crawl them without registration or logging even though those might require logging or registration to them to see normally.

The UAS (User Agent Switcher) has the option for switching into 3 of the major search engines google, yahoo and bing crawlers/bots and with an open option for adding new crawlers to it. The default agent in it is what the user is using and he can switch them into--
  • Googlebot 2.1
  • Msnbot 1.1
  • Yahoo Slurp

The Firefox addon works on Windows based operating systems, linux and MAC OS as well.

Not all sites and forums allow bots access to every part of the site, but many tech related sites do. So this really is a useful tip!
